Falling between the spring and autumn, the season of summer is the warmest season of the year. It is indeed the best season for vacations, swimming, and sunbathing.  Summer is great season to indulge in sports activities, spending time with family and friends out on the lake or beach or going for a fishing and barbeque. Such summertime activities make the life a lot more lively, but the summer season also has many skin problems associated with it such as rashes and acne breakouts.

The soaring temperature is indeed one of the reason for the skin problems, but with little care and precautions you can easily enjoy this season to the fullest. From personal hygiene and hydration to a balanced diet, in this post I am going to share some practical ways to help you keep your skincare worries aside in the season.

Reducing the Stress:

Many studies have proven that physical as well as emotional stress can result in triggering acne breakouts. This problem worsens during summer. So make sure to reduce any type of stress.

Cleaning Up After Exercising:

Exercising is indeed a good way to keep your health in check, but one needs to clean himself well to get the sweat and grime off as soon as possible after exercising. It is important to remove the accumulation of the dead cells on your skin by taking a proper shower. Also make sure to clean your exercise mat or equipment on a regular basis to prevent buildup of grime and bacteria.

Eating A Well-Proportioned Diet:

Many of the common skin problems can be controlled effectively with this one measure. Reduce the intake of starchy and sugary products from your diet, if possible, you can remove them totally. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a vital sources of antioxidants, vitamins and other essential nutrients, so try to include more and more of them in your diet.

Keeping Yourself Hydrated:

Water flushes out toxins as well as other impurities from your body and keeps your skin cleansed and hydrated. So drinking water is the key to stay away from the skin related problems in summer. Make sure to drink minimum 7-8 glasses of water in a day.

Choosing Right clothes:

Choose the clothes in which you are comfortable. Avoid wearing tight and dark color clothes. Avoid wearing clothes made of synthetic material, instead go for natural material and that too loose fitting clothes.

Keeping Yourself Protected from The Sun

While some amount of sunlight is necessary for our body, a continuous exposure for longer duration can cause wrinkles, age spots and many other skin problems. Try to avoid being outside in afternoon when sunrays are direct. Apply sunscreen generously when stepping out and make sure to wear protective clothing like hat.

Maintaining Proper Hygiene:

You can keep rejuvenating your facial skin by splashing water in short duration. Use a gentle cleanser to clear the dirt when coming from outside. Apart from this, hygienic surroundings are also important.
