Enjoy getting physical in the comfort of your home. Try jogging, skipping on the spot or even just stretching while watching your favorite shows on the television.
Wash Your Hands regularly
Hands are indeed the germ factory, so it is important to wash them regularly with sanitizer so as to kill the germs. Make sure to always wash them when you enter home after being out, and especially before eating food. Also avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes with your hands in order to prevent viruses from entering your body.
Get Enough Sleep
At least eight to ten hours sleep a night is important to prevent your immune system from weakening. A weakened immune system makes you more susceptible to colds and flu. Sleep deprivation certainly hampers your immune system’s ability to fight off infection.
Staying Active Indoors
From Yoga to Dancing, there are so many indoor activities which will help you to stay active. You can enjoy making the winter season more enjoyable and fun with some simple aerobics move. Try to get active around the house by engaging yourself in more of the household chores. Positive social interaction with like minded people and laughter, are both great for your immune system.
Stay Warm
Studies have shown that warmer body temperatures help prevent the spread of common cold virus. If the outside temperature drops then make sure to wear pullovers and cover yourself with scarf and shawl.
Take Less Stress & Staying Away
Stress adversely impacts your body’s immune system. If you are going through a hectic life schedule, manage time to give rest to your body. Make sure to relax your body from time to time for rejuvenating its strength.
While it is good to be surrounded by people, it is equally good to stay away from people displaying symptoms such as coughing and sneezing. Sharing is caring, but you need to be careful while sharing food with your friends as they may harbour unwanted germs.
Prevention is always better than cure. Healthy fruits and vegetables are far better than the medicines prescribed by the doctors. So make sure to bring some changes in lifestyle so as to avoid getting sick in this winter season.
